Congratulations Sara for the award of Faculty for the Future Community !

Ms Sara Wibawaning RESPATI has successfully secured fellowship award ( Faculty for the Future Fellowship program, Schlumberger Foundation) for the 2017-2018 academic year.  Long-term goal of the fellowship is to support role models and improve gender balance at the faculty level so that more young women are attracted to scientific disciplines.

Congratulations Gabriel for earning Doctor of Philosophy, QUT

Dr Gabriel Etienne Michau joined our team in 2013 as a joint PhD student with ENS, Lyon, France. His research is on the development of Optimization methods for link dependent Origin destination matrix using Bluetooth data. He is currently working as data scientist at the GIScience Center, University of Zurich, Switzerland.

Hasti appointed as Transport Planner, IBI group, Boston, USA

Ms Hasti Tajtehranifard has joined IBI Group Inc at Boston,USA as a transport planner.

Since 2013 Hasti is part of our research team at QUT and is currently finalising her PhD on Incident duration modelling and dystem optimal traffic re-routing. She is expected to  graduate by mid 2017

Dr Le Minh Kieu appointed research scientist at Data61, CSIRO, Australia

Dr Le Minh Kieu joined my team in Dec 2011 as a PhD student. His research focuses on exploiting big transit data for solving transfer coordination problem in public transport. During his PhD he has developed analytical and technical skill of big data crunching which helps him to get a research scientist position at Data61.

Data61 is a CSIRO organisation focussing on data driven analytics and modelling to address complex engineering problems.

Dr Tsubota appointed as Assistant Professor at Ehime University, Japan

Dr Tsubota appointed as Assistant Professor in Transportation and urban planning at Ehime University, Japan.

Dr Takahiro Tsubota joined our team in 2011 and his research focuses on macroscopic modelling of large urban networks.

Dr Rakkitha joined Translink

Dr Rakkitha Widanapathiranage has joined TransLink Division Department of Transport and Main Roads as  Transport Data Analyst and Modeller. He did his PhD from QUT. His research is on Modelling busway operation with mixed stopping and non-stopping buses.
